Clinical Trials at Ft. Washington Vet Hospital as of June 2018

Feline Kidney Disease with Weight Loss

We are excited to announce a cat-specific clinical trial open to our current clients.

  • Does your cat have chronic kidney disease, but is otherwise healthy?
  • Is your cat on a stable diet?
  • Are you willing to do the following – Bring your cat to the hospital 4 times over 8 weeks? Administer the study treatment as directed?

If you’ve answered YES to these questions, your cat may be eligible for a clinical research study evaluating a new treatment for the management of weight loss in cats with chronic kidney disease. All study expenses will be covered.

Call and speak to a member of our clinical trials team (Drs. Schultz and Shay, as well as Danee and Colleen) or email us and we will determine if your pet indeed qualifies for this study

Does your dog have trouble jumping or climbing stairs?

We are looking for dogs with mild to moderate pain/lameness in one or more legs for a clinical trial.

If your dog currently has mild to moderate pain/lameness and is at least 2 year of age and weighs between 5-150 lbs. he/she may qualify for the study. If qualified, your dog will receive free study-related exams by a veterinarian.

For more information and to see if your dog qualifies please ask your veterinarian or clinical staff. You may also email the clinical trials team to inquire.
