Fort Washington In-Hospital Veterinary Treatments
Providing Quality Care for Pets Since 1972
Certain health problems or soft-tissue surgeries may require your pet to stay at our hospital to receive top-notch in-patient care. During this time, our veterinarians and veterinary technicians will closely monitor your pet’s health. While your pet is in our care at Fort Washington Veterinary Hospital, appropriate treatments and medications will be given and our veterinary team can administer any medications, antibiotics, or fluid your pet may need.
Feel free to bring along your pet’s favorite blanket, toy, and, if medically acceptable for that day, food, and we will use them to make your pet feel more at home. Some pets are also comforted by a shirt or other item of clothing worn by their owner.
Our in-hospital veterinary treatments in Fort Washington include:
- Intravenous catheterization
- Diabetic monitoring
- Intravenous fluid therapy
- Intravenous medication administration
- Heartworm treatment
